Networking - Unit 8: Eating out

Khi đi ăn ngoài với đối tác (đặc biệt là đối tác nước ngoài), các bạn có thể phải sử dụng các cấu trúc sau đây:
1. Giải thích menu:
This is a local speciality – đặc sản địa phương.
It’s typical of/a speciality of our region.
It’s a spicy / savory / sweet dish.       
It’s a kind of pasta / meat / dumpling.
It’s made with meat / fish / vegetables.
It’s a bit like spaghetti / pudding / rice / pizza.

2. Giúp đỡ khách về menu:
Let me know if you need any help with the menu.
Oh, that. It’s a kind of fish.
It’s a bit like an omelette.
Do you know ravioli? Well, it’s similar to that.
It’s made with eggs, milk and sugar.

3. Quyết định gọi món:
Do you know what you’re having?
Have you decided yet?
That’s what I’m going to have for my sister.
I think I’ll have that for the main course.
I’m going to have the dish of the day.

4. Những lỗi hay gặp:
Waiter! > EXCUSE ME
Give us the menu. > Can I have the menu, please?
I don’t eat pig. > I don’t eat PORK.
I take the pasta. > I’ll HAVE the pasta.
I’d like water with/without gas. > I’d like SPARKLING / STILL water.
